Jeremy Newman currently holds a number of roles, including:
Panel Member of the Competition & Markets Authority; Non-Executive Board member and Chair of the Finance, Audit & Risk Committee of Frontline; Honorary Treasurer and Trustee of World Jewish Relief; Senior Independent Non-Executive Board member and Chair of the Finance, Audit & Risk Committee of Open Banking Ltd; and Non-Executive Board member and Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee of Clarion Housing Group.
He was previously Deputy Chair of the Government Legal Department; Non-Executive Board member and Chair of the Audit Committee of the Crown Prosecution Service; Trustee and Chair of the Audit and Finance Committee of the Social Investment Business Foundation; Non-Executive member of Social & Sustainable Capital LLP; Chair of the Audit Commission, Chair of the Single Source Regulations Office; and Chair of Optionis, a private equity backed business providing accounting, payroll, tax and professional employment solutions to the flexible workforce in the UK. He has been a trustee of several charities particularly in the education and health sectors and was Lead Reviewer of a number of a number of Public Bodies.
He qualified as a Chartered Accountant and spent 33 years working at BDO, one of the world’s leading professional services firms, latterly as their Global CEO and prior to that as Managing Partner of their UK firm.
