Sofia Sideridou is a social justice researcher and criminologist, currently serving as the Research Coordinator and Europe Manager for Restorative Justice for All. Holding a Master of Law in Forensics, Criminology, and Law, she also earned an Honours Certificate from a Master’s Honours Research Track for her focus on academic legal research methods. Her research journey includes roles as a research assistant at the Human Rights Centre of Ghent University and the Centre for African Justice, Peace, and Human Rights, where amongst others she researched about “victims who victimise” and how traumatised children are groomed into violence.
She has worked on multiple Erasmus-funded projects and her role included: lead research and evaluation, delivery of outputs, trainings and workshops, project management and chairing of transnational meetings, events and learning activities, liaison with relevant stakeholders and partnerships. Recently, she has also dedicated her time to advocating for policy change, particularly concerning the Victims and Prisoners Bill in the UK, where she passionately championed the inclusion of restorative justice as a vital service for victims.
