1 HOUR • 1 DAY • 1 WEEK – Resilience checklist

Designed as an accessible starting point, this checklist supports organisations to take a high‑level view of preparedness without the complexity of testing plans or running disruption exercises. It recognises that resilience can feel daunting, particularly where time, capacity or confidence is limited, and offers a simple way to start the conversation.
The checklist is structured around three timeframes – what you might need to consider within one hour, one day, or one week of a disruptive event. Using prompts across key organisational areas, it encourages reflection on:
- Operations and service delivery, highlighting how disruption might affect continuity and identifying potential pressure points
- Workforce capability and capacity, helping teams think about skills, adaptability and available capacity under strain
- Communication and decision‑making, prompting consideration of how information flows and decisions are made during challenging situations
This resource benefits leaders, managers and teams who are new to resilience planning, or who want a quick, practical way to sense-check current arrangements.
As a first step, the checklist provides clarity and focus, helping organisations understand where they are now and where deeper exploration of resilience may be useful.
