We are delighted to announce 12 finalists for our individual award categories. The winner of each category will be crowned at our awards ceremony, taking place 30th November at The Birmingham Botanical Gardens.
Our team winners have also been decided by our team of judges, however, this information is confidential and will be released after the awards ceremony.
Designed to recognise all non-uniform staff roles in Police Services throughout all four corners of the UK. Individuals in staff roles play a crucial part in policing, from helping to reduce crime and support victims of crime, through to supporting officers in their duties to help protect the public.
The two finalists for this category are:
Lead Intelligence Analyst, Metropolitan Police

Designed to recognise all non-uniform staff roles in Custody and Detention services throughout the UK. Individuals in staff roles play a crucial part in custody and detention helping to improve services by supporting officers in their duties to protect people in their care and members of the public.
The two finalists for this category are:
Catering Manager, HMP Lewes
Prison Employment Lead, HMP Elmley
Celebrating apprentices who have gone above and beyond in an Apprenticeship front or non-front line staffing role across either Policing, Prison & Probation Services, Youth Justice, Prosecution, Courts and Tribunals or community safety.
The two finalists for this category are:

Enquiry Centre Contact Handler, Hampshire Constabulary
Recognising new and upcoming talent, who have worked in either the Policing, Prison and Probation Services, Prosecution, Courts and Tribunals, Youth Justice or community safety for less than 24 months but has already made a significant contribution to improve public safety. This award recognises anyone who has demonstrated an exceptional attitude towards public service and who have made a significant contribution to their organisation, since joining.

Housing Specialist, HMPPS Norwich
Designed to recognise all support roles who play a crucial part in the Probation Services priority to protect the public through the effective rehabilitation of offenders by reducing the causes which contribute to offending and enabling offenders to turn their lives around.

Case Administrator, West Midlands Probation Service
Receptionist, HMPPS
Designed to recognise all staff in non-judicial and legal professional roles in the Prosecution Services and Courts and Tribunals. Prosecution support staff play a vital role in supporting the prosecution of criminal cases by preparing cases for court and providing information and assistance to victims and prosecution witnesses.

Ambit helped us think about how to align core G4S values with the main areas of organisational life, so we are able to offer excellent support and opportunities to those we care for and get the best from our people through ongoing development and recognition of their achievements.
Our project was about trying to bring more rigour in. Checking what skills everybody needs, and making sure we’ve supported them in getting those skills. The ambition in working with Skills for Justice was accreditation – to design a bespoke customised certificate of achievement in inspectorate skills.
The Skills for Justice team were invaluable to us to deliver this result. This required exceptional support and project management from the team to bring several organisations together working to the strictest of deadlines. Staff feel more valued and have greater transferable skills. We are confident that they will progress their careers in the sector.
We feel valued as members with regular and worthwhile communication and visits.
The Skills for Justice consultancy experts helped us, but also allowed us to speak when we needed to change things. They completely understood the needs of the sector, but most importantly, they understood how to accommodate the learning requirements within the really restrictive environments that we work in.
