Celebrating Inspire Justice Awards winners at the House of Lords
Date 28.03.24
The team at Skills for Justice recently had the honour of joining the HMPPS Internal Expert Voice Panel and Lived Experience Leads at their annual learning and development event.
Held at the House of Lords, the 2-day programme was an opportunity for HMPPS staff to get together and share best practices and culminated in an awards presentation by Skills for Justice Chief Executive John Rogers.
Back in November, the HMPPS Internal Expert Voice Panel and Lived Experience Leads were named winners in the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion category at the 2023 Inspire Justice Awards.
As a team of 50, only a handful of HMPPS staff were able to join the celebrations on the day in person.
Not wanting the rest of the team to miss out, Skills for Justice presented each and every one of those involved in the HMPPS Internal Expert Voice Panel and Lived Experience Leads project with a certificate of their achievement at the House of Lords event hosted by Lord Michael Hastings.
The Inspire Justice Awards celebrates the amazing work that goes on – often behind the scenes – throughout the entire justice system by individuals and teams such as the HMPPS Internal Expert Voice Panel and Lived Experience Leads.
The Awards brings together representatives from across the justice sector to share best practice and celebrate each other’s achievements. Inspire Justice Awards returns again for 2024, with nominations opening in May.
