Jonathan joined the Skills for Justice consultancy and research division as Principal Consultant – Workforce Planning in 2022. Jonathan previously worked at Network Rail as the Wales & Western strategic workforce planning manager, and brings with him extensive experience in implementing change in public sector organisations.
Prior to Network Rail, Jonathan worked for Wiltshire Police. Initially joining his home force in 2008 as a control room operator, taking 999 calls and dispatching officers, Jonathan went on to progress in a career in HR, specialising in workforce planning across a range of portfolios. In his final role with the police, Jonathan was the Head of People Development, responsible for the provision of training and development across the organisation. Jonathan’s education and professional registrations reflect his interest in workforce development, holding an honours degree in combined social sciences and being an associate member of the CIPD.
Outside of work, Jonathan values his time with his wife, two children and various pets. Quality time dedicated to walking the family dogs, being together in the garden or park, travelling to the coast or cooking family meals. Jonathan also follows various sports and enjoys keeping up to date with current affairs through news, books, articles and documentaries.
