Date 07.05.19
Leadership and Management in the Public Sector is the title of the event, which will be held on the 17 May. The report was carried out by Skills for Justice in partnership with Edinburgh Napier University.
Selected attendees and speakers from across the public sector will be coming together to discuss the insights gathered from the Workforce Development report.
Guest speakers from the sector include Chief Supt. Rachel Williams from Avon and Somerset Police, and Pauline Crellin, Director of External Affairs, Strategic Design and Planning, Universal Credit Programme from the Department for Work and Pensions.
The event will focus on a range of topics around leadership challenges for the public sector, including shared and distributed leadership, the role of the middle managers and promoting staff engagement and encouraging followership, focusing on research findings from the bi-annual Workforce Development Survey.
Last month we spoke to Professor Maura Sheehan and Dr Kirsteen Grant from the International Centre for Management and Governance Research at Edinburgh Napier University, to seek their views on Leadership and Management.
